Daily Activities

A day in the life of a preprocessor includes (but is not limited to) the following general activities:

  • Processing of mailed-in absentee ballots
  • Counting of processed ballots
  • Opening and flattening of ballots for storage in a security case
  • Reconciling of counts on a ballot count worksheet
  • Packing of voters’ empty mailed-in envelopes into appropriate boxes.
  • Cleaning/sanitizing of the workspace for compliance with the county’s Covid-19 guidelines
